Switching Web Hosts: How and What To Do – Part 2

Once you have your new web hosting UK company picked out, you’ll want to transition from your current host to your new one. It’s really not that hard:

1. Backup your files, just in case something goes wrong and you need complete copies.
2. Move the files to your new server with your new quality yet cheap web hosting company.
3. Point your domain name to the new server instead of the old.
4. Test out your site to make sure everything works well for at least a day or two. Then delete the files from your old server and cancel your old account. You’re ready to go!
